A sporting win for Cascais drinks company
August 19, 2025
Perfect Peaks, a boutique beverage producer from Cascais that makes a hydration drink designed for active lifestyles, has been signed as the first-ever local drinks partner for the 2025 IRONMAN Portugal – Cascais race.
After a successful trial in 2024, the local health drink has been chosen to be shared with the thousands of athletes who converge on Cascais from around the world to test themselves in the annual Ironman triathlon event.
Free of sugar and artificial flavours, the award-winning Perfect Peaks hops-based carbonated water drink is at the forefront of a smart rehydration movement, making it a perfect partner for this iconic sporting event.
Founder of Perfect Peaks and long-time Cascais resident, Sean Wootton, said the IRONMAN signing was a powerful reminder of the role Cascais events can play in elevating local entrepreneurship.
“IRONMAN Portugal brings a global audience of athletes, spectators and sponsors, offering small, independent brands like Perfect Peaks a rare opportunity to shine, and prove that world-class innovation can come from grassroots businesses supported by a local community, like Cascais.”
"Events like this put Cascais on the map as a destination of excellence for health and sport. We are proud that a local brand represents the healthy living, wellness and sports culture of Cascais, as well as the production capacity on this high-performance stage," he said.
Perfect Peaks Hop Water was developed in 2023 as a healthy alternative to canned energy drinks full of sugar, sweeteners, and/or caffeine, so that consumers, not just athletes, could have confidence in what they are actually ingesting.
"We decided to challenge the accepted norms for drinks. Firstly, by producing something that really doesn't harm the body. It has no sugar, sweeteners, calories or preservatives.
"Secondly, the natural, hops water-based hydration works to clear the palate of gels and isotonic mixes consumed in a race. Perfect Peaks is clean celebration hydration - an after-race reward for endurance effort, your endorphin buzz uncompromised,” said Sean.
More than 4000 athletes are registered to take part in the IRONMAN Portugal – Cascais race on 18 October 2025.
Perfect Peaks is available for purchase online at www.perfectpeaksbrews.com and at select retailers across Cascais & Lisbon.
